Later this year, Oklahomans will decide on State Question 788. This will basically be a statewide vote to legalize full-strength marijuana for medical use in the state. Though the vote is tough to call, it is expected to sail through.
FEDERAL LAW ON MARIJUANA
At the federal level, CBD oil derived from hemp is legal and so it is in all American states and territories. The federal farm bill 2014 allows states to research, grow and market hemp and its products. Dozens of states have contracted private growers and manufacturers to do these things on their behalf.
Oklahoma recently approved a law to do the same. However, local growers have not yet harvested their first plant.
